It's strange how major life events can help refocus everything.
Time passes slower while waiting for the doctor to arrive, the drive home seems quieter and longer, grudges are instantly forgotten, parents and older adults become sons and daughters.
Today also highlighted the importance of living a good life. Not measured by material wealth but rather the intangibles of life - Relationships, family, a legacy worth remembering and passing down to the next generation.
I'm convinced that we can live life to it's fullest while focusing on the intangibles. There's more than enough room for both to co-exist with the right amount of focus and effort.
Today will always be a reminder that I should try and do my best everyday and I hope this move will serve as the catalyst in living a life worth living.
